Everything you need to know about BeSovereign and the numbers on it.

What is BeSovereign?

BeSovereign is a simple, clean dashboard for Bitcoin network and market data (block height, fees, mempool, price) alongside gold, silver and major currencies. The goal is a clear, uncluttered view of the numbers that matter, so you can stay informed and make your own decisions.

Where does the data come from?

Everything is fetched from public APIs: mempool.space for fees, the mempool and block height; CoinGecko for market capitalisation, 24-hour change and the all-time high; Coinbase, Binance and Kraken for the exchange-average price; and the open currency-api for gold, silver and currency rates. Charts are powered by TradingView. BeSovereign doesn't generate or control any of this data.

Is this financial advice?

No. Everything here is for information and education only. It is not financial, investment or trading advice. Always do your own research and consult a professional if needed. See the Legal disclosure and Privacy policy for full details.

How often is the data updated?

The Bitcoin price, fees, block height and mempool refresh about every 30 seconds while the page is open. Market cap, the all-time high, metals and currency rates refresh every couple of minutes to respect the free APIs' limits. Updates pause when the tab is in the background and catch up as soon as you return.

What are “sats”?

A sat (satoshi) is the smallest unit of bitcoin: one hundred-millionth of a coin. “Sats per dollar” shows how many of them one US dollar buys right now. It’s a handy way to think in bitcoin terms rather than dollars.

What does “blocks to clear” mean?

It's a rough estimate of how many blocks miners would need to confirm every transaction currently waiting in the mempool, assuming about one million virtual bytes per block and no new transactions arriving.

Why the name “Be Sovereign”?

In the Bitcoin world, sovereignty means taking personal responsibility for your money, your keys and your understanding of the network. The name reflects the idea of becoming more independent and informed rather than relying solely on third parties.

Does the site collect my personal data?

There are no accounts or logins, and BeSovereign doesn't build personal profiles. Basic technical data may be processed by the hosting provider, analytics or advertising partners. See the Privacy policy for details.

Why do some numbers show a shimmer or a dash?

The site relies on external APIs. Occasionally one is slow, rate-limited or briefly offline. The affected card keeps its placeholder and tries again on the next refresh, and the rest of the dashboard keeps working independently.
